The Benefits of Choosing a US …

The Benefits of Choosing a US Visitor Health Insurance http://abbrr.com/zJF

Medline Bathtub Bar, Locks to Side of Tub

The many companies that offer visitors insurance plans contain benefits that Americans expect to find within a health insurance policy. For this reason, it is believed that the United States offers a superior visitors medical insurance system when compared to other countries.

Most American companies that offer visitor insurance have been in business for quite a long time. Letter-grade ratings are earned by these companies based upon their respective financial position. Conversely, foreign companies may be very new and receive no independent ratings from a comparable system. It can become a problem when U.S. providers are unfamiliar with the terms of foreign insurance policies.

Visitors insurance policies issued by U.S. companies typically use a preferred provider organization, or PPO network. These networks contract reduced pricing with health care providers to perform services at a discounted rate. The PPO network also allows health care bills to be directly sent to the insurance company. Foreign insurance companies may promise that their coverage is accepted everywhere, but this decision is usually left to the providers themselves.

Insurance cards are issued to customers who hold a visitor insurance plan through an American company. Doctors’ offices will typically request a copy of this card upon entry. Foreign visitor insurance companies don’t always issue an insurance identification card, presenting problems in paying for services. Without a card, most providers won’t be willing to bill a company overseas.

Customers also have the choice of a ‘fixed benefits’ or ‘comprehensive’ plan through American insurance companies. Foreign companies enforce strict age restrictions, and may refuse to cover anyone over the age of 70. The lack of legal regulation of insurance companies overseas prevents transparency and equitable coverages.

Grievances may be filed with insurance regulatory committees in the U.S. when an American insurance company does not pay claims appropriately. These greviances organizations do not exist for regulation purposes abroad.

Travelers should remember that price is not the only factor to consider when shopping for insurance for visitors. When comparing U.S. company rates to foreign company rates, the customer will typically receive the level of coverage and service they pay for.

Obviously visitors insurance is an essential part of traveling. Differences between American company and foreign company offerings should be examined closely. U.S. companies will typically offer better services and guarantees of payment; this type of security is difficult to find in foreign insurance policies.

Good price for a sturdy product. Not too big to get in the way of free body movement. A good product.
Not for all tub styles

Got this bathtub bar for an older tub - oops - it doesn't tighten far enough for that style. Since we needed it immediately, I kept it and put a block on the outside side of the tub to shim it. I'm not sure about the angle being perpendicular to the side of the tub but so far it is doing its job.
There's not much else to say about it except that if you find that it doesn't tighten enough to not budge even a hair, return it. Ever so slightly loose and it will cause more damage than it prevents.
great purchase!

I recently ordered this for my mother. She recently fell and hurt her back and was afraid to get in and out of the tub. This came more quickly than promised and was well made...well worth the money. My mother wrote us a thank you which I have included in my review: "Just a note to say a big THANK YOU for the bathtub handle. Last night I felt awful because I tried to stand and sing in the choir at Mass. I hurt so badly. So I went up and filled the tub and got in thanks to the handle. I sat in the hot water for 30 min. and then got out -- again thanks to the handle. I went straight to bed and had the best night's sleep in a long time. The warm water was so helpful.

I know I would not have tried to sit in a tub without the assurance I could get in and out. The handle was firm, did not slip at all and gave me confidence I could haul myself up without falling."
